Learning to walk is hard to do

I have started to go walking in the mornings with my neighbor. She has a little girl that is a few years older than Madi. Madi has decided that she would like to walk with me rather than sit in the stroller. I've let her walk while we herd her with the strollers to make sure she doesn't get run over by any cars. Madi has pretty good balance but lately she seems to trip over her feet every once in a while. I'm sure that some of you still do this, but you've learned to regain your balance before you eat pavement. Madi tripped over her feet this morning and face planted right on her nose! Here is the aftermath...

*Please note, she was not smiling for some time afterwards. I don't dare scrap her nose to remove the blood...guess we'll get that off in the bathtub tonight!

I'd say her nose looks pretty good in comparison to Holden's latest tumble. See blog entry for September 17. Gratefully, he has healed fairly well.
