So I have been stressing over this Halloween Carnival for the last few months. I started out being very excited about planing it, and then I realized that there were far too many other things going on in life for this to take center stage. I got the big things reserved and hoped for the best in early August. (yeah, early August...for Halloween) I must say that it went off better than I had anticipated - which isn't really saying much since I thought it would be a total disaster because my volunteers were not signing up to volunteer. I knew things were going too well and that something was awry when I got there first and was able to remember everything.
What went awry: an airjumper collapsed while kids were inside (luckily it was the kids of the people there helping and they were all older - oh and they all got out pretty quickly - to the disappointment of one parent who's child was irritating her...), the popcorn and hotdog machines ended up not functioning properly until about 30 minutes before everyone left (thanks to the non-scary vampire who fixed the popcorn machine...) and the games were not really played/noticed. Oh and I didn't take any pictures - because I was busy helping the vampire fix the popcorn machine.
Oh well. At least it was cleaned up quickly and the kids had fun. Other people had a good time and said thanks.

I know how much work you put into this, so I'm glad it's over and that everyone had fun! Too bad there weren't pictures though :-)
Oh, Beth, I hope you weren't disappointed. It is hard when everything does not go as planned. But you said the kids had fun so yippee. I bet you're glad it's over.
