Swimming!

We have spent the last week at swimming lesson and Madi loves it! We were lucky enough to get signed up for two weeks of swimming lessons at the Rec Center; however, we were not lucky enough to get lessons in the indoor pool. Oh well - we'll just slather on the sunblock! Madi wanted to go swimming so much on a day that we didn't have lessons that we ended up going to the pool here at our apartment. She was not happy to get out of the pool - if you can see the scowl on her face while she is drinking the juice...

Little Reader

I found Madi reading to herself this afternoon. She would say words to describe the pictures in the book she was looking at. She is one observant little kid. I hope she never looses her love of learning.

Happy Mother's Day

It has been a few crazy weeks at the Nelson household. Today on this Mother's Day, I am grateful for all the women in my life who inspire fits of giggles - and most importantly the little girl who keeps me between pulling my hair out and stitches.
