The ever elusive smile

Madilyn has been smiling for over a month now, but I have yet to capture it on camera. I was able to catch the tail end of her big smile here...

New Trick...

Madilyn really likes to stand up. This past week we discovered that she would rather stand up by herself. I think mom is in for a very active lifestyle change in the next few months!

"Solid" Foods...

A first...rice cereal. I don't know if more ended up being spit back out or in her stomach.
She liked it enough for a second bite...

A picnic in the park

Madilyn loves to be outside, so we joined some friends for a picnic in the park.
Madilyn really liked Janice.

Madilyn likes to make you think she's going to cry when she just wants you to move rather than stay in the same spot.

Mom has discovered the crazy peacock is one of Madilyn's prefered toys! Thank goodness to the crazy peacock for keeping car rides a little less noisy and traumatic.

Pebbles look-a-like

We've got just enough hair on top of Madilyn's head to impersonate Pebbles from The Flinstones, minus the bow. After bath time is the most fun time to play with Madi's wet hair...although it dries rather quickly since there isn't a whole lot of it!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner

Ok, so "smart" mom forgot to take her camera to the Halloween Parties we went to - but at least I got a picture of her in her costume. The second Halloween Party we went to, Madilyn won first place in the costume contest for her age group (0-4 years old)!

I guess she doesn't like hats that have anything underneath her chin...she did smile the first time I put this on her in the store. Maybe she just thinks she gets more attention with the hats.
