Favorite Hat

Who's kid likes hats? Will she leave a ponytail in her hair - NO. She keeps going back to the hat...

Nothing in particular

I must talk to cars while driving much more than I realize. What has brought me to this conclusion? My daughter. She has started to tell cars to be "careful". Hilarious. We are driving through the parking lot and she says "careful car". (This happened while family was in town this last weekend which made my sister-in-law crack up!) However, today while getting on the freeway, Madi started telling cars to "move". I about hit another car because I was laughing.

While at Target this morning, Madi kept saying "Wamart". Uh, wrong store sweetie. I told her we were at Target and she started saying "Wamart" even louder. (*Side note, she likes Walmart because they give her a sticker. She also likes Trader Joes because they give her a balloon.) Brand loyalty. Get them while they are young huh? (Curse you Wa-mart - and your stupid stickers.)

Its far too quiet...

I was talking to my dad on the phone (or Pa pa as Madi calls him) and realized that Madi was no longer shouting, counting, laughing or making any noise for that matter. Nor was she trying to sit on my lap. I found her in the kitchen...playing in boxes that I had meant to throw away once she took her nap. I'm so glad she can entertain herself (and others).

If you notice, she didn't even look up at me to say "cheeez" when I took her picture. Caught up in the moment I guess.

Excitted for Spring...pweeeese.

So as I have mentioned before, we end up at the Bellagio Gardens often. This past weekend was no exception. We ventured back to the pastry shop and watched the chocolate fountain - officially the Guiness Book of World Record holding tallest chocolate fountain. They had some cool Easter Eggs.

Madi promptly sat down at one of the tables and asked for a treat "pweeeeez".

A Conversation with Madi

Location: In the car on the corner of Tropicana & Las Vegas Blvd

Me: Madi what is that? (pointing to the MGM Grand Lion)
Madi: ummm...Jesus
Me: No. It's a lion.
Madi: Roar...Jesus.

At least they are teaching her something at church.

I think my kid is color blind...

I told Madi that today we needed to wear green for St. Patricks Day. I got the following result...

I love a girl that can pull of red shoes!

A potential headache...

Tonight Brad and I taught Madi "Ring Around the Rosie". I am not sure this was a good move on our part. She has been asking to do "Wohzie" for the last few hours. We thought we had solved the problem by having her do it herself. That lasted about two or three times around...

See if you can figure if you recognized the following words/phrases Madi says in the clip: fun, jump up, hand, rosie and fall down.

A Fun Saturday

This morning we decided to check out the gardens at the Bellagio. We end up here alot for some reason. The current gardens are all full of tulips and butterflies. Here are a few pictures of our adventure this morning.

Madi wanted to smell the flowers - at least she has learned to say both "Phew" and "Mmmm".

After we were done in the gardens we decided to show Madi the fountains. I thought she would love it! It started out alright but once the water jets were going full force it scared her.

Fun Pin Round

It is fun to pin round on the "Sit N Spin" Grandma gave Madi for Christmas. It has only taken her three months to figure out that she can "pin" better on the kitchen floor than the carpet.

Ogurt

Madi loves to eat yogurt (or Ogurt as she calls it). You can't really tell from the picture below, but it was all in her eyebrows and hair. She didn't really eat any, she just decided to paint with it. She kept saying "No" when I showed her the blue yogurt. She tasted it, but only a few bites before the artistry began.

Flat Stanley on the Strip

We spent Saturday taking Megan Stanley around to some various places on the strip this weekend. Here are a few of the sights...

Gotta love the fountains at Bellagio!

Mmmm...M&Ms!!!

I am really wishing we will be able to head back out to New York City at some point in the not so distant future to see the real Statue of Liberty.

We finally got to see the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand. I think the outside is a little more over the top though...

Who knew that Vegas was such a draw for NASCAR fans?! By the way, Megan Stanley is on the Sunday race winner's car...
