So I have known that some day in the not so distant future that Madi would fall and hurt herself. I have been anticipating this with a slight bit of anxiety. I figured I would would freak out the first time and then be ok. Well, today she did a "graceful" faceplant in the kitchen. This left a rather unsightly bump on her temple. After a short - ok not so short - cry she was back to smiles. The wonderful power of a kiss...

Both of my kids' first bumps resulted in butterfly bandages to seal up their eyelids. I freaked out, but then I was over it. Still, not fun!
Once in NYC Alyssa did a Hodini out of the straps of her high chair, and landed on her had on the lovely parquet floor. It looked as if she had grown a second head, or at least nose growing out of the top of her head! Darren almost took her to the hospital, but luckily one of the residents was coming for dinner. He checked it out, and after 2 months it finally disappeared completely. Ugh, kids and bonks!
